A non-profit organization devoted to empowering homeless veterans and their service dogs by providing essential resources for a hopeful transition.
We visit the West Los Angeles Veterans Center off Wilshire Blvd on the last Sunday of every month for a "Lunch Date" with the veterans and their service dogs. We bring collected donations, including toiletries, clothing, books, and other items, which we distribute directly to the veterans. This gives us a chance to connect with each veteran who comes to our booth.
The service dogs receive donated food, toys, and treats, and they enjoy a "spa day" where they get their nails trimmed, ears cleaned, and other essential treatments, all accompanied by some tender loving care from a certified vet tech.
We encourage anyone who would like to volunteer on these days to join us. We not only set up a station but also drive through the facility to locate any veterans who cannot make it to us.
